2004 Supreme Court Luncheon

LCSF President Stephen B. Ruben & Attorney General Bill Lockyer

LCSF President Stephen B. Ruben & Attorney General Bill Lockyer

Our May 19, 2004 Annual California Supreme Court Luncheon was the first ever sold out event in the 57 years of history of our esteemed Club. Our key note speaker, Attorney General Bill Lockyer made an outstanding presentation enthusiastically supporting the Club’s first interactive Q & A format.

The Special Tribute to the late LeRoy Hersh by Past President Ed Nevin was especially touching – truly honoring one of our own: a legend of the law, a devotee of our Club and “mensch of a man.” Leroy’s wife and Past President of our club, Kay Holley and his daughters, Jill and Nancy who are distinguished attorneys in the own right, established the Leroy Hersh scholarship fund to our Scholarship Foundation.

A big Thank You to our firm members; Brayton Purcell, Collette and Erickson LLP, Farber & Company and Sideman & Bancroft LLP; our corporate sponsors- First Republic Bank, Thomson*West and our media sponsor- The Recorder and each of you as members of our Club in collectively contributing to this outstanding signature event. To this support, we had an incredible team of leaders from Patrice Truman and her Supreme Court luncheon committee, our new find Eleanor Palacios as luncheon event coordinator, our Executive Director Kristen McDonnell, and Past President Chuck Birenbaum for his creative introduction of our Justices. You all added to the success and your efforts are most appreciated.
